City of Hallandale Beach Radio Station:              1620 AM
The City of Hallandale Beach manages 1620 AM, a radio station for up-to-date City information.  Tune your radio to 1620 AM for important information running at all times.  During emergency situations, the City will utilize this station to provide listeners with necessary information to help remain safe during and after the event.

Comcast Government Access Channel:              Channel 78
The Government Access Channel on Comcast Cable is dedicated to providing our residents with all the information necessary to enjoy living in the City of Hallandale Beach.  This station will be utilized during emergencies to provide up-to-date information regarding the event including shelter openings, emergency phone numbers, sandbag distribution, water distribution sites, and more.

City of Hallandale Beach Marquee:                      Corner of US1 and NE 3rd Street
The City’s Marquee is situated outside of the City Hall Complex on South Federal Highway/US1 and Northeast 3rd Street.  This marquee will be updated during emergencies and will be used to remind residents to tune into 1620AM or Comcast Channel 78 for more information.

Nearest Storm Shelter:                                          Watkins Elementary School
Watkins Elementary School in West Park has been designated as a storm shelter for emergency situations.  However, it is important to keep in mind not all shelters are opened immediately.  Each emergency event dictates which shelters are opened and when.  It is important to stay advised of the situation as it unfolds.  You will be able to find shelter openings here on this website during emergencies in addition to the City of Hallandale Beach Radio 1620AM, Comcast Cable Government Access Channel, and your local news stations
