SUBJECT:     Consideration of an Ordinance Amending Chapter 32, Article V, of the City of Hallandale Beach Code of Ordinances, the "Land Development and Zoning Code"; Amending Section 32-790, "Time Limits and Revisions"

PURPOSE:

The City Commission adopt the ordinance on Second Reading to amend Section 32-790 of the Land Development and Zoning Code to further clarify when approvals for Minor Developments, Major Development and Conditional Use approvals expire.

BACKGROUND:

At the February 20, 2008 City Commission Meeting, the Ordinance was discussed and adopted on First Reading. Second Reading of the Ordinance was set for March 5, 2008.

Staff would like to note that the attached Ordinance reflects modifications that have been read into the record on February 20, 2008. As you may recall those were minor modifications needed to clarify language.

The Planning and Zoning Board at its February 27, 2008 meeting unanimously recommended the proposed amendments.

RECOMMENDATION:

The City Commission adopt the attached Ordinance on Second Reading.
