SUBJECT: Discussion of Composition of Pension Board

Please place an item on the January 9, 2008 agenda to discuss the composition of the Police Fire Pension Board.  Currently, the City has a Police Firefighter Pension Board composed of City employed sworn police officers, firefighters and residents.  Section 3.08 of the City Charter prohibits City Commissioners from holding other Hallandale Beach City Office while presiding on the Commission.  I would like to discuss the current ordinance to ensure the City Commission is protected and following all appropriate laws. 

Please place this item on the agenda for the January 9, 2008 Commission Meeting for discussion.
