SUBJECT:     Discussion of Amending Charter Section 3.08(1) Eliminating the One Year Waiting Requirement Regarding Employment for Former Commissioners

I would like to discuss putting on the November 2008 ballot an amendment to Charter Section 3.08(1) eliminating the one year waiting requirement regarding former Commissioners seeking employment with the City.   I believe Commissioners gain knowledge that is invaluable to the success of our Community and their service to the City should not be hindered with a one year waiting period. 

Please place this item on the agenda for the January 9, 2008 Commission Meeting for discussion.
