SUBJECT:     Discussion of Seating Arrangements at the Commission Dais

I would like to discuss with the City Commission the possibility of rearranging the commissioners’ seating at the dais whereby I could be seated next to the City Manager.  Currently, I am having difficulty hearing the City Manager and staff when they are presenting agenda items and making recommendations regarding said items.  In order to make well-informed policy decisions, it is imperative that I hear not only the City Manager’s presentation, but also staff’s and the Commissioners’ discussion.

Accordingly, please place an item on the July 18, 2007 agenda for discussion.
