This program is an incentive for residents and businesses to install rain sensor devices on their landscape irrigation system. The City has been awarded a grant in the amount of $50,000 from the South Florida Water Management District to implement a rain sensor retrofit program. The proposed program will fund the cost of both the rain sensor and its installation on low voltage irrigation systems. The City’s goal is to install approximately 400 units which may result in an estimated annual water savings of 11.5 million gallons. If you wish to participate in this program, please call the Public Works Department at (954) 457-1608 to place your name on the list of potential rain sensor recipients.
